Monday- for Ingele

I would preform this song as spoken word in a smoky, emo, coffee bar/bookstore if I could. Get it Rihanna, get it.

Although I am still warming up to Mad Men, the intro song to the show, I love.

I think Mr. Draper would look swell with RiRi's new red hair style... just sayin.

Friday- DJ Statt

Not to be kanye-centric this week, but I was sent this track from a DJ here in DC- DJ Statt- who I met a couple years back while he was spinning a my Turkish theme song.

The track that DJ Statt- or David- sent is a mix of Power by Kanye.

it.is.unreal.

The track that David was spinning the night I first heard him was Simarik (which translates to/is referencing a spoiled girl- hence, my theme song) - by Tarkan.

And as long we are plugging the superstars of my motherland- listen to this jam.

The title is "Hup"- literally the sound of sucking air in- or, in the case of his song- a person into yourself. My bffer, craigels, loves this song.

Wednesday- for home

you will be whistling to this and to yourself the rest of the day.

thought this would be a representative photo of what i picture the perfect 'home' to feel like- warm, cozy, great food, great drinks, and a little something special in the background...

Tuesday- this one is for the d*bags

When I heard this the first time on the VMAs, I was meh about it.

Not sure if it was the layers of gold chains he was wearing, or the bright red contrasting on the white stage, but Kanye stole my heart with this song.

(hit all the sweet spots: Givenchy Fall' 08 layered necklace nonsense, Turkish flag= Mr. West himself)

Encore Kanye, encore.

Monday- Dead Mice

Trying to make up for the lax last week. VMAs inspired me.

Not sure how much of a hardass one can be while mixing in giant mouse ears, but this guys got it.

He also mixed Robyn's song, Dancing on my own... always a good combo.
